love in any language

On a fateful trip to the Dominican Republic, D met and fell in love with the beautiful Y while doing some work for a charity that collects and redistributes shoes to the less fortunate. Little did he know that it would lead him to one day be standing in a forest on one of his favourite running paths overlooking the Pembina River while his gorgeous bride steps into view.

She was stunning, and as you can see, D was indeed stunned by how incredibly gorgeous his bride-to-be was.

We snuck in as many pictures as we could before rushing back to the house for a quick drink (it was HOT!!!) and to freshen up before the ceremony.

Because Yolanda does not speak English very well yet, one of her beloved friends who was able to make the journey here with her was able to translate the ceremony and permit them to be married by the same minister who had known the family most of his life.

There was clearly so much love and emotion at this wedding that the langauge barrier wasn't a barrier.

How they managed to pull off such a gorgeous wedding with the bride not arriving until a few days before the ceremony is beyond me. It was simply beautiful!

After the speeches and a beautiful song from one of the guests, it was time for the first dance.

But after that was done, it was time for Yolanda to get the SECOND dress on, and let the real dancing begin!

D & Y, I wish you nothing but the best of luck in your future endeavors and look forward to seeing what the future holds for you.
