blue on blue

This sweet couple's wedding colour was blue, but was anything but.  First, you need some mood music:

At the salon I met up with Miss A and her fantastic bridesmaids, who were full of jokes and smiles and didn't try to hide from my camera - bonus!!!

After finishing up at the salon, we made a quick pit stop at Starbucks and grabbed some Skittles (the bride's favourite candy - she actually has a dispenser that RAINS Skittles in her living room!!!)

While the groom and his groomsmen (images courtesy of Silverlight Studios) got fancied up...

the bridesmaids and the bride's mom wrangled A into her princess dress.

Dad played it cool but you could tell he was beaming watching his beautiful little girl transformed into a bride.

Did I forget to mention the wicked cool (and blue!) vintage jalopies?!?!?!  The Meteor and the Parisienne?  Cuz yeah, that was how they travelled this fine fine blue-sky day...

The groom's face when he saw his bride was brilliant - I thought he might tear a cheek muscle smiling so wide.

She looked so beautiful in fact that he couldn't wait to tell her.

Some vows, some family pictures...

(In case you ran out of music, here's another one:)

So before I go and get all mushy...

We had a TONNE of fun during the formals.  With the exception of swatting at the multitudes of mosquitoes, a fine time was had by all...

Who did it best?!

(Check out the airtime the bride got...  it's impressive!!!)

Now.  I warned you the mush was coming.

So, these two picked blue for a wedding colour, and blue to me is a calm, serene colour.

It makes me think of crisp skies, cool waters, and soft whispers.

Blue is a gentle colour, a colour that seems wise, unending, timeless, respectful.

Which kind of describes their relationship.  The irony of it is this: they met at a paddling club.  They are kayakers.  Kismet was in the water, right?  ~swoon~

My gorgeous bride with alabaster skin, peppered freckles, bright blue eyes, and fiery red hair contrasted with the smouldering green eyes and olive skin of her adoring husband...

The prince and his faerie princess.  In a hotrod.  How ridiculously awesome is that?!

Usually after a wedding I am hyper.  The playful giggles, the gentle admiration, the deep sense of trust and companionship held by these two was (and is) amazing.  I left this instead just wedding feeling a great sense of peace.

I have a feeling you two are gonna rock this marriage thing.

Happy trails, and a blue blue heaven to you both!!!
