babyLOVE: a graduation
Time passes so quickly. Logan and Jasonpoop's Mommy was kind enough to let me rearrange my schedule a bit (bad weather and bad timing) and compromise with an impromptu cake smash session at Logan's first birthday party. With gift (retro Fisher Price Little People 50th anniversary sets have just been released - WAY WAY cool!) and fresh white shower curtain in hand, I braved Saturday's NASTY roads and headed off to wish Logan a happy cake-smash birthday.
Behind every well-dressed man there is a woman. (Or two, such as in Logan's case...)
One must, of course, have a nutritious meal of Cheezies for lunch on one's 1st birthday.
After going to town on the Cheezies, Logan's feet were about the only things clean...
Big brother Jasonpoop was more into the 'red' (ketchup) chips.
(Missed one! No Cheezie was shown mercy, even the suicidal ones who leapt fearlessly to the floor in hopes of saving themselves...) You'll notice the jeans are gone - the nakedness was a good indication that the cake smash was about to begin!
A bit of a bumpy start, while singing Happy Birthday, Logan decided to extinguish the flame with his hand instead of his breath. (No harm, no foul - there were a few tears most likely from everyone gasping, "Oh no!" and scaring the bejeebers out of the poor boy, but no lasting damage.)
Once the baby (and the kitchen floor, and parts of the carpet, and Daddy) were completely covered in cake, we took a quick break for a bath before heading down to open presents.
We took the opportunity to snap a quick family picture before Logan was allowed back at the Cheezies, though...
Happy happy 1st birthday, Logan! Thanks for letting me come to your party!
