out of curiosity (still)...

Humour me some more.

Do you shop for groceries using a list, or just go for it when you know you're running low on supplies?
Do you go to the same supermarket or do you use several different ones for different things, or whoever has the best sale on?
Do you have a regular 'route' you take through stores you shop often?
Are you a coupon clipper?

I HAVE to have a list - I'm too scatterbrained to remember what we need and too impulsive to not buy a bunch of stuff we don't need.

We go to the same grocery store for 99% of our groceries, even if there's a sale on someplace else - I hate driving all over the place and looking for parking spots and fighting with people for stuff I could have paid the extra $1 for and had half the hassle lol. I totally have a path i follow through the store. I even write my list up in the order it will appear along my travels up and down the aisles. I think having a genuine hatred for shopping, this is my coping mechanism, to have it down to a science so it lasts for as short a period of time as humanly possible, without letting someone else do my shopping.

And coupon people drive me BATTY. For some odd reason, they are always in front of me at the store, making my life hell, arguing about the expiration dates that "accidentally" got ripped off: "But I was sure it was good until this week." BS, lady - pay the extra fittycents for your galldurn toothpaste and move it along.

Several. Big trips we go to Superstore or Save On Foods depending on whether I go alone or with the whole family. We pick up odds and sods between trips at Safeway because it's close to home.

Just start at one side of the store (near the entrance) and work our way aisle by aisle to the other side of the store. Usually go right to left.

Are you a coupon clipper? Sometimes I do but not usually. I have a hard time remembering to actually use the coupons.

We make a list at home, then add to it when we're in the store.

We stock up on everything once a month, fresh stuff as we need.

We aim for 10% off Tuesdays but usually miss it. I don’t really care as I’m pretty sure it’s a wonderful marketing gimmick, but hey, I’m a sucker.

We go in the morning… hem, hem… my hubby goes in the mornings as he hates the crowd. I go when I can finally drag my feet slowly into the grocery store usually behind a massive amount of people. If you ever hear anyone cursing that they should’ve got there sooner, it’s probably me.

We follow the list, not the store, but everything is in categories… frozen stuff, produce stuff, deli stuff, other stuff.

Coupons? They suck. And so does grocery shopping. I detest it. I think it’s because my mother is the queen of grocery shopping. She knows where every deal is, has a coupon or three for them all, knows the fastest route to each and every store, knows precisely on the shelf where each and every item is and can tell you the price of nearly everything in her pantry down to the cent. Sickening.

Always.Make.A.List. Always!

I go to Loblaws religiously, because they have the best selection and the nicest cashiers out where I live.

I take the same route - start at produce and end at eggs.

Coupons occasionally - when I find one that's $1 or more off a product I regularly use.

I hate shopping too. I.Hate.Shopping.

No list for me, I just wing it.
For topping up on groceries we go to Sobeys, for a hefty sized grocery trip it is Superstore, and for the motherload trip its costco.
Costco is a very dangerous place for us, we never spend less than $400 and we have spent over $700 before.
No coupons or set pattern. I actually like going grocery shopping by myself instead of with the family. It gives me some much needed alone time.
I plan my meals for two weeks and write down all my ingredients I will need, so yes I use a list.

I go to the same store(s), as I know what they have and how they are laid out and that they are the best priced.

I use coupons that the store gives out .

I do grocery shopping once a week at the same grocery store, and at least once a month Hal and I go to Costco. With such a big family, we try to get as much as we can at Costco. ...and I ALWAYS have a list!

I buy fresh produce at a local produce market.

No coupons. Who has the time to clip them?
